Post-Fire Volunteer Opportunities
Driving
Details: Volunteer drivers needed to shuttle participants in our 15-passenger van and donations between our new shelter location and office space (approximately 6 miles away). Moderate lifting and carrying involved.
Qualifications: Drivers must be over 21 with a clean driving record. Ability to lift and carry moderate loads
Schedule: Drivers are needed on weekdays from 8-10 am and 1-3 pm
Donation Sorting
Details: Volunteers needed to sort through donations in our office by size and utility. Staff member will instruct volunteers as to sorting process.
Qualifications: Good organizational skills
Schedule: Sorters can volunteer any time during business hours (M-F, 9-5)
Donation Solicitation
Details: Volunteers needed to contact churches and other potential donors with our list of needs
Qualifications: Phone, internet, and general communication skills
Schedule: Can be done either at our office during business hours or from home at volunteer’s convenience
