Volunteer of the Month

Welcome to the New Moms Inc. Volunteer page. It is a privilege to be joined in carrying out our mission by the many volunteers who have dedicated their time and efforts to making our programs a success. Each month we will feature one of our dedicated volunteers. We are humbly in the debt of those people who give willingly of their time and energy to serve our moms and their children.

North Anderson Church of God

Each summer, North Anderson Church of God in Anderson, IN sends a group of 12 and 13 year olds on an urban mission trip. Earlier this summer, New Moms was one of several sites they visited. On June 12, they painted the fences surrounding the Cooperative Living Program building and did their own version of "Trading Spaces" with the kids' area in the basement. They removed all the furniture, cleaned up, and then reorganized the space into separate functioning areas for laundry, cribs, reading, play, and television. Our moms and kids continue to be thrilled with their new space! The volunteers from North Anderson were truly a blessing, and we hope to see them again next summer!
